Mt. Insanity Are YOU There Yet?

Ahh, a most popular destination for many entrepreneurs, why? Because, at one time or another most of us have been there, done that! For those of you that have never submersed yourself into the realm of a home based business opportunity, you may have no clue what I am talking about. So let’s start with a basic description. "Insanity" means doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. Now get a mental picture; a huge mountain with a well traveled path encircling it.

The trip begins for many on a simple premise. "the need to make some money and the concept of working at home." You found the perfect business opportunity; even one of the top producer saw so much potential in you, they personally signed you up! Hopes are high, never before has the dream of success been more real, nothing can stop you now!!!!

The plan is simple, learn all you can about the company, it’s product(s), service. Immerse yourself in every conference call, business gathering, the usual prescribed protocol for success. Now to share this one of a kind opportunity with the world! The contest begins, as you are asked to make a list of everyone you know, family, friends, acquaintances, even those you don’t, and the winner is??? Look at all the people I know!!! Checking it twice, wouldn’t want to miss anyone, concerning this one of a kind deal! All the while you are visualizing that new car, new home, and endless cash in the bank! Life doesn’t get any better than this does it?

Then comes the reality crash for many entrepreneurs, the disappointment fills their hearts. What happened, it seemed so easy, where did it all go wrong? Low sign ups, the business didn’t take off as lead to believe.

It’s time to rethink the process, regain perspective, and as so many business entrepreneurs before you on the path have begged the age old question. How to effectively market to others? Is there a feasible solution to this marketers nightmare?

Alas along comes the Internet; a virtual sea of a marketing experts, each with different ideas, plans, but which will you chose? Who can I trust, how much is all this going to cost me? The mind wonders, with such negatives as "why is my sponsor and others so successful, what is wrong with me? Why can’t I sign people up like that? Maybe this whole work at home business opportunity isn’t for me. What marketing principals or strategies are they using?"

Days, weeks, months, years have passed and you are still walking around and around the path, jumping from one work at home business opportunity or marketing program after another, just like a school of fish in the open sea, stopping to feed in one location after another. Everyone is diving in, the frenzy ensues, as they jockey for position in the matrix. Then just as quickly as it began, it’s over and so are the school of fish…off to yet another feeding ground.

Have you unknowingly become a full time resident of Mt.Insanity? Are you frustrated trying to build a financially successful business? The simple fact that there are still so many "marketing guru’s" out there tells the story. So what is the answer, is there a solution? There sure is!
Be true to thy self. Stop! Rethink your objectives! Begin with a logical plan, not one based on someone elses success or failure. YOU are YOU! Just like a fingerprint, each unique. The only true bond is the desire to work at home. Stop being like everyone else! Set yourself apart from the pack of followers.

Find a business opportunity that addresses your passion and interest. Not jump into a program because everyone else is. Align yourself with a company of values similar to your own. Most people no matter what will have difficulties pushing something they personally don’t believe in or even use. Coin the phrase “be a product of the product!” This can and WILL bring YOU ultimate success! If you believe in something enough, you have created a positive mind set! Look out my friend…the doors are wide open now!

Secondly, be realistic in your goals concerning marketing. Even the so-called turn key marketing systems have a learning curve. Be patient and allow yourself time to understand the many facets. Be real, learning to market effectively takes time to develop. Even IF you follow the given steps verbatim, think of this…visualize yourself in that massive school of fish swimming in the vast ocean. What is going to set you apart from the pack? Now, I am not knocking the education and experience you are gaining, but, especially now in today’s market place…people are looking for REAL people. Not a mass of followers. Take what you have learned, share YOU with the world, offer to lend a personal hand, and watch your sign up come full fold!

STOP the INSANITY! Stop doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result. Break free and travel down the path of YOUR true purpose in life…
